Kevin D. McCranie is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Policy at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. He specializes in naval history and strategy with a particular emphasis on the period from the American Revolution through the Napoleonic Wars (1775-1815). Additionally, he serves as co-coordinator of the Naval War College's internship program.
He received his Ph.D. in History from Florida State University.
