Randy Deering was born in Huntington, WV, and grew up in Southern California. His family was the original "Beverly Hillbillies." After two years of junior college, majoring in art, he served four years in the USAF as a Graphics Illustrator. Early in his Air Force "career" he met Pat Hall – his wife of 45 years..
Following military service, he went on to earn a B.A. from Mobile College, Ala., then a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas, and ultimately a Doctor of Ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, Calif.
He served 37 years in various kinds of ministry, including on college campuses in Texas and Calif., special event & resort ministries in S. Calif., seminary instructor, and on several church staff positions in Ala., Texas, Tenn., and Fla. He is also a professional development and leadership consultant and trainer.
