Paul Weston

Paul Weston was born in Swanage, England. He was educated in the USA, and went to sea as an engineer apprentice with the BP Tanker Company, rising to the rank of third engineer. His subsequent seafaring career included spells with European Ferries, P&O Ferries and RMC. After leaving the sea and graduating from university with a degree in mechanical engineering he worked for the Bermuda Electric Light Company and in the Technical Investigation Department of Lloyd's Register of Shipping.

In a radical career change he started and ran Weston Antennas for 20 years, designing and manufacturing large satellite earth station antennas in Piddlehinton, Dorset, and exporting them around the world. He left the company to work for Siemens.

Paul Weston has extensive sailing experience. His most adventurous sail was New York to Lymington in a home designed and built 26' boat. He currently owns a Mitchell Sea Angler, and lives in rural Dorset.
