Robert Brightwell is a fan of the Flashman series of books written by the late George MacDonald Fraser and the way that they brought history to life through the eyes of a fictional character. He is writing a series of books which introduce an earlier generation of the Flashman family through his uncle Thomas Flashman. One of these books is HNF.
