1571: Greek-Venetian lad, Dion Valienti, is forced to become a sponge diver of the Mediterranean Island of Ithaca after his father's disappearance, meets. Captured by the Turks he is forced to become a galley slave and finds himself chained to an oar alongside his father. Dion manages to escape and goes to the Holy League fleet camped outside of Lepanto, warns them of a Turkish trap, and fights at the battle of Lepanto alongside Don Miguel de Cervantes, later author of the great classic novel Don Quixote. He rescues his father and restores the family fortune.
