For his latest book Alaric Bond has returned to his popular Fighting Sail series. The Torrid Zone is now available in ebook formats and will be released in paperback shortly.

 The Battle of All the Ages

The latest book in J. D. Davies's Journals of Matthew Quinton, The Battle of All the Ages, is now available for pre-order in paperback and kindle. It will be released worldwide on 16 June 2014.

Trident Author Michael Aye's recently released the latest novel in the Fighting Anthony's series, Trident. It is now available worldwide in paperback and for Kindle.
The Threat in the West Indies

If you can not wait for the next instalment of a series this seems to be the one to try as Roger Burnage has just released the fourth book of The Merriman Chronicles just 3 months after the previous one. The Threat in the West Indies is available worldwide for Kindle download and in paperback.

Non-Fiction

HMS Bellerophon

HMS Bellerophon was an iconic '74' and it's story is told in a new book by Colin A. Pengelly. It is now available in the UK in Hardcover and will be released in the US on 19 July 2014.

British Warships in the Age of Sail 1817 - 1863

The final instalment of Rif Winfield's epic series on the Design Construction, Careers and Fates of British warships was released on 17 April 2014. British Warships in the Age of Sail 1817 - 1863 is now available in Hardcover.

History of the Royal Navy: The Royal Marines

A new book by Britt Zerbe, A History of the Royal Navy: The Royal Marines, is now available for pre-order in Hardcover. It will be released worldwide on 30 August 2014.

Each month I provide a short bio of one of the authors on the site. This month we will look at John Mariner

John Mariner was born in Oxford in 1936. After a preparatory education in Oxford he was educated at Ryde School in the Isle of Wight. He later opted to Join the Royal Air Force where he served in many counties around the world until he became involved with 'In-flight Navigation Bombing Systems'. He retired from the Royal Air Force in 1972 and then joined Oxfam's team of fund raisers until 1990. He is now content to write books about England's Royal Navy and about the brave men who did so much to protect our land. All John Mariner's books are "dedicated to his elder brother, Peter, who, as a Royal Navy Bomb Clearance Diver, died at sea in tragic circumstances on 12th January 1972. He has written a trilogy about the 32-gun frigate, Eaglet, during the Seven Years War (1756-1763) and her Captain Daniel Winchip
