Navy Bites: Volume I

Navy Bites Volume 1 contains thirty-two tales from the Royal Navy, covering the great, the bizarre, and the tragic. Spanning from 1546 — when the Royal Navy was formed — through to 1993, this book brings to life the events that have shaped the RN. Whether it be the invasion of the Isle of Wight, women disguising themselves as men to serve, stone frigates, ships of ice and sawdust, the longest row, flat-pack ships, bizarre camouflage, Horatio Nelson losing his arm, the odd re-use of damaged ships, the Gibraltar apes, or nuclear London; this book covers them all.

You may already have heard about some of these fascinating incidents, but Navy Bites reveals the extraordinary details behind them, and their place within the vibrant history of the Royal Navy.

For every copy sold a donation will be made to the Naval Children's Charity, who support children whose parents serve or have served in the Royal Navy.
