The Witch of November: A Great Lakes Story

A young football player fights for survival after being paralyzed in a high school game in Cleveland. His father, a miner in Minnesota, desperately tries to get back to his son. After the father's truck breaks down, he is befriended by a young sailor who offers to stow him away on the iron boat on which he works, also headed for Cleveland. But the weather on Lake Superior in November is fraught with danger. Can the young sailor get his new friend to his son before it is too late, or will the Witch of November exact the ultimate price?
