Whisky Tango Foxtrot: ...Copy?

Based on true events, WTF is a novel of love, war, betrayal and retribution after the death of 82 sailors in the 1964 collision between the destroyer HMAS Voyager and aircraft carrier Melbourne. Jim Price survived but his mate Charlie went down with the ship. Jim blames the disaster on Voyager’s captain known throughout the Navy as Drunken Duncan. If someone saves your life you are in debt to them forever and it’s up to Jim to obtain justice for Charlie and his wife Nola who commits suicide leaving behind a baby. A class action against the Navy and the Government seems a good idea but, at a time when public opposition to the Vietnam War is increasing, Jim finds political obstacles placed in the path of justice. To make matters more complicated, he has fallen in love with Jenny, a friend of Nola’s, whose brother defies a conscription order from the Army and whose mother is an active leader of the anti-Vietnam insurrection. Torn in several different directions, Jim is driven to extreme measures to find justice for his mate.
