Raider 16

On 19 December, 1939 the German admiralty took over the new warship Raider 16 (originally named Atlantis). Her crew included 21 officers and 328 seamen under command of the skilled captain Rogge. The book describes the story of this ship and her crew, details of the sinking of many merchant ships, Rogge's decisions and reasons for the tactics he used, and the sinking of Raider 16 by HMS Devonshire and the rescue of her crew by Eckermann's U-A and Merten's U-68.
